It’s taken me a fair while to get my head around posting updates efficiently. The latest tab will now have proper updates with all the trimmings (tags, categories and multiple pages), not everything piled onto one continuous page as per below. I’ll keep this as a momento of not only my past works/posts, but also the very long scenic digital route I haphazardly took to keep the internet informed on my activities.

Upright Season 2 was released in Australia today! All episodes have dropped on Binge, and will be screening double episodes on Foxtel weekly. I make a guest appearance in the episode, Fold. I got to appear alongside the wonderful Hollie Andrew and legendary Noni Hazelhurst. Lots of fun and laughs on set. The ABC Kids show Reef School makes it debut on TV today! It was a wonderful experience voicing many different characters. This one is very special, as it’s my very first voice over job on a TV show, so it means a lot. A big thanks to ABC and EM Voices for the opportunity. A special project which has been cooking away is finally ready for release. This is a very special project, being that it covers various personal subject matter unique to all the participants involved. This was extra special due to the fact that everyone involved this project of cast and crew was of Samoan descent.

It has been quite a while since I’ve written an update on what has been happening with me. I’ve been very fortunate enough to be kept busy being creative. I’ve booked roles in a few TV projects that will be released in the latter half of the year!

I’ve also been writing and recording new music. A few collaborations with Derek J Turner, Zolton and Nyquest in the works at the moment, as well as material to put together in a new EP. Here is a sneaky preview of a song written in one of the sessions I’ve had with producer Jono Fernandez:

The proof of concept for Falling in Slow Motion has been released! A rom-com trailer just in time for Valentine’s Day! It’s a wonderful project which addresses love, change and navigating a chronic illness. A big thank you to all the cast and crew involved for a wonderful experience but especially Sarah Dinsey for allowing me to be part of the process.

A fun new spot for Kennards Hire is out this week, meaning I got to have more fun bringing back the Ken character. A big thank you to director Jesse McElroy, Katie and the team from Enigma, Reshma, Marian, Tess, Manelle, Gemma and the rest of the Kennards team, Tyler and the team from Film & Television Academy, Lydia-Jane, Gosia and Renee - who looked after me in Wardrobe and Make Up, Paul K Robbins, Kristy Howell and the rest of the Howell team, and every one else who helped put this together.
The real heroes though, are the wonderful folk who had to play my body doubles for camera - some of you had to add a lot of padding in an already warm set - thank you!

Here’s an all music related update!
I attended the Made in the West Festival where my single Kind Enough to Wait was nominated for Best Director, Best Music Video and Best Cinematography. While I didn’t come home with a win, it was a big honour to have my work recognised.
Another single Parasols won the Gold Award for Original Song for the November edition of Hollywood Gold Award film festival for its use in the short film Bonded by Blue. A very welcome surprise!

Filming has completed on my next music video project. Taking on a directing role again, I teamed up once more with The Light Pirate on production (responsible for Kind Enough to Wait), with Kate Jirelle (Love You Like That, Axmo Deus) jumping on board as assistant director. Big thanks to my cast Sia, Anna, Dian, August and Kate. I can’t wait to share this next year!
And finally, if you’ve not seen it yet, the M/V for my single The Weight of Obligation came out earlier this month. This was directed by the wonderful Eoghan Barltrop, with Josh Cee on cinematography duties and frequent musical collaborator Jono Fernandez producing. Enjoy!
